ABRAM-VILLAGE, PEI – June 29, 2014 – At its graduation ceremony held on Friday, June 27 at the Expo-Festival Center in Abram-Village, the theme of which was Un diplôme en main, un avenir pour demain (A diploma today, a future for tomorrow), Collège de l'Île presented college certificates and diplomas for 2013-2014 to its largest class ever, 20 graduates.

Collège de l'Île took the opportunity to present the Governor General of Canada's Medal and the President's Award to Janine Gallant. Three Merit Awards were presented to the following graduates: Nadine Abdelmalek, Hayley Arsenault and Candice Berthier.

Ms. Anne Bernard-Bourgeois, Executive Director of the Prince Edward Island French Language School Board, was the guest speaker. The valedictorians were Shane Arsenault and Nadine Abdelmalek.

The administration and entire teaching staff of Collège de l'Île want to congratulate all the graduates and prize winners and wish them the greatest success in all their future projects. The Collège also wants to thank the sponsors for the Merit Awards: the Club Richelieu Évangéline, the Caisse populaire Évangéline-Central and the Fédération des parents de l'Î.-P.-É.

Collège de l'Île is the only French language post-secondary institution in Prince Edward Island. With three training centers, in DeBlois, Wellington and Charlottetown, the College offers regular programs and customized training with a focus on the labor market training. It provides a stimulating learning environment that makes use of the latest technology while paying special attention to students.
